Budget sheepskin Seat Covers are exactly what they sound like ..seat covers made
to a budget!
We make our
Budget sheepskin Seat Covers pretty much the
same as everyone
else does
... cut sheepskin sewn together then pulled into shape by some
sort of elastic arrangement.
We base our Budget sheepskin Seat Covers
on our Contoured sheepskin Seat Covers
by using those patterns and removing most of the tailoring that is one of
the hallmarks of our Full Tailored sheepskin Seat Covers. Once we have cut and
sewn the Budget sheepskin Seat Cover we give it a quick clean up and send it to
ewe.
Unlike our Contoured sheepskin Seat Covers
where we take a good deal of time
in finishing and clean up and quality inspection then we send it to ewe.
With our Contoured sheepskin Seat Covers
we create patterns that are exact
[we
ain't kiddin'!] duplicate shapes of the original factory seats that are held
onto the seat by the
exact shaping of the pattern and the use of leather "pockets" at each
corner of the Seat Cover, that fit under the seat, and finally some tailor
measured elastic straps that have various hooks or other fittings that will
attach to the seat or to another part of the Seat Cover.
With our Budget sheepskin Seat Covers
they are held on the same as everyone else's by using an
elastic system around the edge of the Seat Cover that wraps underneath the seat
and pulls the Seat Cover into shape.
However, we couldn't bring ourselves to use
the same elastic as we see most often used, as it is a an uncovered elastic sewn
directly to the edge and will deteriorate with time [all
elastic will - even ours] , and cannot be easily replaced. So we chose a more effective
[and just as cheap] system
of a "skirted pocket" - ie a sleeve sewn around the edge of the Seat
Cover and is threaded with elastic.
When the elastic gives way [and it will
eventually] ewe can easily re-thread it yourself - unlike any other Seat Cover
we ever heard about.
Like anyone else, we usually just pick the first sheepskin
that fits the pattern for our Budget sheepskin Seat Covers - which is not what we
do with our Full Tailored sheepskin Seat Covers.
What we do for those is pick as
carefully as we are able to so we are always using the best of the sheepskins
available to us on the day.
We only buy first grade Australian sheepskins, but
that doesn't mean they are all the same, so we use the best of the best for the Contoured
sheepskin Seat Covers and the Budget sheepskin Seat Covers and
Universal sheepskin Seat Pads get the rest - which is about the average used by
most other sheepskin product manufacturers ... don't forget that sheepskin for
motorcycles is the only thing we do!

Pretty simple stuff really!
